Bursa Malaysia Weekly Summary

KLCI Weekly Chart

KLCI uptrend is still holding. However, weekly RSI indicates that the bias is to the downside. Currently, I consider that the index is only in a normal correction mode. If the correction goes below 1260, then the normal correction will turn into a new baby bear.

Malaysia's Moral Police

Every month, I always looked forward in receiving my issue of National Geographic Magazine. I just like the fantastic photos that shows the nature and culture around the world. However, once in a while, our moral police do not approve of its content. I do not know which specific ministry that is responsible in determine what is morally acceptable to Malaysian. However, I will call them PCTK for Pasukan Conteng Tetek & Konek.

The job scope of PCTK is to ensure that matured Malaysian are not exposed to sexually explicit content that will corrupt their mind. The following photos from my March 2010 issue of National Geographic Magazine are examples of what will happen when PCTK finds that your magazine contains T&K.

Exhibit 1

Exhibit 1 shows a young Kara woman from the Omo tribe of Ethiopia trying to decide whether to wear a bra with her traditional costume. Are you sexually arouse?

Exhibit 2

Exhibit 2 shows that little children penis is a no-no too. Maybe some of you will become a pedophile if you are exposed to this. Is this a sexual content? Anyway, PCTK missed out the woman in the centre. You can clearly see her breast.

Exhibit 3

Exhibit 3 shows that PCTK has black-out this well-built young man's penis. Every man has a penis, it seems that PCTK wants to deny that there is one.

Exhibit 4

Can't show you this penis too.

Exhibit 5

No boobies of Kara women dancing. Is this very sexually arousing? Are you "playing" with yourself now?

Why is it that PCTK view these photos from a sexual angle? If your mind is dirty, then you will view anything from a dirty angle. These photos are just showing the way of life of a tribe in Ethiopia. I strongly believe there is nothing sexual about them. Furthermore, these photos are from a world renowned magazine. It is not from Playboy or some pornographic magazine. If a parent objects to these photos, then it should be up to the parents to take the appropriate action (i.e. blank it out like PCTK). However, I don't think that you can apply a general action to cover the whole range of audience.

I am very angry with what the Malaysian government (PCTK) has done to my collection of National Geographic Magazine. I am a mature adult that just do not want someone to tell me what I can or cannot see.

Poll: Do you agree with what the government has done to my National Geographic magazine? Please vote on the left panel.

DJI Drop 1000?!

The difference of high and low of the day for DJI was almost 1000! For the S&P it was 100! This is a 9% and 8.5% drop for the DJI ad S&P respectively! Luckily, I was sound asleep when this was happening. I am sure that this type of drop will give everyone a heart attack.

Rolfe Winkler has the story. It could be some trader keying wrongly. However, there are a few wrong trades than just a single error.

Go for Gold

First, the Americans buy gold because of the falling dollar. Now, the Europeans are buying gold due the falling Euro. I think that next in line will be the Japanese. Every country is loading up with so much debt that the paper currency is going to be worthless. Remember, mankind experiment with fiat currency is only less than 40 years old when Richard Nixon canceled the convertibility of USD to gold in 1971. Gold has existed as a form of money since 500 BC and it may make a come back due to insane debt that the government is accumulating.

I think that every Malaysians should also buy gold. Why? Because gold buying has not reach the mania stage yet. Moreover, our country is not too far from becoming like Greece. With the way our government is continuing to mismanage the country (i.e. submarine, cash-for-votes), the government will tax us to death (i.e GST) or/and print ourselves out of the trouble.

So, buy gold (or silver) to protect our purchasing power.

Bursa Malaysia Weekly Summary

KLCI Weekly Chart

KLCI is still being supported. The technicals are still no good. This means at any moment, there will be a sudden sell down. I'm wondering, is the market being propped up just to keep the voters happy as what is happening in the US now.

Pricking the bubble

SSECI Daily Chart

From bull to bear. My previous analysis of China stocks have been invalidated as SSECI has broken to the downside! Dangerous journey ahead.

Back to the Futures

I thought I have enough knowledge to go into combat. I was young and foolish. I was easily influenced by the "guru" broker. "Trading was easy," says him. I got in with confidence. Unfortunately, I was badly injured. The sweet talk was far from the truth. It was a cruel battleground. You are fighting against the guru, master and Jedi that are far better than you. My last battle was Dec 2005.

Since then, I have gone back to training, built up my knowledge. Learned to be humble. Learned what have I done wrongly. Learned how to prepare myself mentally.

Now, I know on how to trade stocks. I also know on how to trade warrants/options. Last Friday, I am back into the futures. It took 4 years and 4 months for me to regain my courage to go back into battle. It took so long because I find it very hard to heal oneself when you have a mental scar. This time, I know that it will turn out better than last time.

World Weekly Summary

This Goldman Sachs thingy sure rattles a lot of people. We need to remind ourself that the market is already overbought based on daily chart. So, a sell off does not surprise me. Anyway, in any matters where money comes into question, definitely there are element of cheating/fraud/manipulation. This has existed since two parties made the first trade. That is why we need to learn history. History teaches us how fraud are committed and how to detect them. As a trader, I will play alone as long as the music is on, and try to get out before I get myself hurt. Is this the end of the bull rally? There are evidence of bearish divergence, but it is still not strong enough to indicate the resumption of the bear.

Bubble Watch

SSECI Weekly Chart

Watch out the Shanghai market. If the government is cracking down on speculative investment in property, then the money must flow to another asset type as everyone is trying to make money. If the triangle pattern is broken to the upside, expect Hong Kong to follow.

Bursa Malaysia Warrant Calculator Version 3

I have done some improvement to my Bursa Malaysia Warrant Calculator. The main view of Version 3 is shown above. Version 3 now contains warrants that are listed in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong! Malaysia's warrants are updated as soon as they are announced in Bursa Malaysia website. For Singapore warrants, as I cannot find the announcement in SGX website, I only update it once every 2 months. For Hong Kong warrants, I can only update it once every 3 months as there are just too many of them.

Anyhow, Version 3 allows you to choose which exchange that a particular warrant is traded in to be displayed. In addition to that, you can now choose to show call warrants, put warrants or both. Therefore, in a bull market, you can select to view only call warrants while in a bear market, you can choose to view only put warrants. This is the improvements that I have done to Version 3. The Bursa Malaysia Warrant Calculator has helped me a lot in my trading decision. Why not try it for 1 year? For a price that is around a normal brokerage commission, I believe that it is really very affordable as compared to the money that you may have loss through wrong warrant selection :p.

If you don't have a Paypal account, then email me for Maybank transfer account.

Anyhow, you can test my sample (which is almost a complete version). Email me at swifz@yahoo.co.uk for suggestions or comments.
